    Damaging Surf is no longer occurring in NSW. However, hazardous surf conditions are likely to continue between Montague Island and Coffs Harbour today, moving to Ulladulla to Byron Bay late this afternoon, extending to Tweed Heads late this evening, then contracting to north of Wooli by Sunday. A Hazardous Surf Warning remains current.

    The immediate threat of damaging surf has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.


    A wave height of up to 4.9 m was recorded at Sydney and 5.4 m at Crowdy Head on Friday.

    The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
    * Keep clear of fallen power lines.
    * Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water.
    * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
    * Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
    * Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
